Every month there will be an update of Joe & Jenn's Home Pay-Off Spectacular! The fourth monthly update is TODAY!
Jenn and I are even more fired up about getting rid of the mortgage!!! Why? Because we are one month closer to 100% freedom from debt!!! Jenn and I have shook hands and made an agreement that the house payments will be gone by October 2011. You guys will all get to watch the mortgage leave by watching the "Sangl Family Home Pay-Off Spectacular" turn green! By the way, I have a stretch goal of October 2010. It is a HUGE STRETCH.
Here's this month's update!
Total Squares: 2,426
Paid-For Squares: 709 727
Squares Remaining: 1719 1701
% of House Owned By The Sangl's: 29.2% 30.0%
% of House Owned By Wells Fargo: 70.8% 70.0%
We now own nearly all of the side wall AND we own 30% of the house free and clear! That's exciting! Again this month we sent even more money - more than ever before - to this stupid mortgage.
I am SICK of sending HUGE interest payments to Wells Fargo. I like Wells Fargo, but I would rather they pay me interest! Who is with me?!

My Text is ING Direct On-Line Savings Account and Link is http://www.jdoqocy.com/7e102js0ys-FIMJIPNMFHGKIGLOL ING Direct On-Line Savings Account dropped it's rates to 3.65% as a result of the Fed lowering rates by 3/4 of a point.
You know that you are winning with money when you are mad that the Fed is lowering interest rates!
I know that Emigrant is currently at 4.05% and HSBC is at 3.55%.
I have money in ING Direct and HSBC. Hey, 3.40% and 3.55% is WAY BETTER than the crappy 0.25% and nuisance fees that my old savings account had. Are YOU earning this type of interest on your savings? If not, you should check out these great banks/accounts.
I think I would probably be motivated to move my money if there was more than 1% disparity.
Are you a rate-chaser for your savings account money? If you are, how much is enough to make you move your money?

Welcome to the latest series at www.JoeSangl.com - Financial Software!
In Part 1, I shared the reasons that I use Text is Microsoft Money and Link is http://astore.amazon.com/wwwjosephsang-20/detail/B000SKZHM8/002-8206364-8578457 Microsoft Money.
Now I want to share how the use of this software has enabled Jenn and I to take our finances to another level.
First, let me go back a few years to explain how I discovered this software
It was in early 2000, and I was sitting in a leadership meeting for Text is NewSpring Church and Link is http://www.newspring.cc/ NewSpring Church. It was me, Text is Perry Noble and Link is http://www.perrynoble.com/ Perry Noble, and Jason Wilson.
The new church was just getting off the ground (less than four months old), and Perry pulled out these incredible looking financial reports. When I say "incredible", I mean just that. I was floored. I was amazed about two things - (1) the incredible reports and (2) that PERRY had them!
"What
? How
? Where did you get those?", I stammered.
"Your wife printed them out for me.", Perry said.
They were INCREDIBLE! These statements were more professional than anything I had seen in Corporate America.
I asked my wife (who was the church secretary at the time) how she did it. "With Microsoft Money", she said.
I immediately switched our personal finances from my paper-based system to Microsoft Money and have never looked back.
Here is how this software has helped us take our finances to the next level:
* It made me realize how crazy we were spending our money. We were debit card kings! Everything was a debit card purchase. $2.46 purchase. $1.03 purchase. $3.21 purchase. We averaged 90 transactions per month. When we switched to cash envelopes, we cut our transactions by over 60%! We now average less than 30 transactions per month.
* It made me realize that we did not have a plan for our money. When you have to categorize an average of $500 of spending as "Miscellaneous" each month because you don't really know where it went, you have a problem! That is exactly what we were doing. By using this software, I SWIFTLY realized where it was going - the grocery store, restaurants, and impulse purchases on "wants".
* It makes me vote. When I enter paychecks, I enter the gross income and all of the deductions. When you see how much you pay in taxes on an annual basis, it will drive you to the polling booth every time you have the chance! I want to ensure that tax money is managed well.
* It helped me become even more organized. Microsoft Money (and I'm sure other personal finance software) allows you to set up recurring reminders on certain bills. It ensures that I pay them on time! AND if someone ever disputes a payment, I can quickly find the transaction and end that discussion.
* It allows me to track multiple accounts at the same time. I love having all of my financial information in one place. It allows me to quickly see a snapshot of my overall financial condition. That's a good thing!
I highly recommend that you use Microsoft Money, Quicken, or other similar software. Many times it comes already installed on your new computer. Check out your computer and see if you have it. If you do, try it out right!

Welcome to the latest series at www.JoeSangl.com - Financial Software!
One of the keys to maximizing your financial potential is to GET ORGANIZED. Organization helps in so many ways. It helps ensure that bills are paid on time, helps you locate a financial record swiftly, and allows you to focus on "doing" instead of "searching".
I am a huge fan of financial software, and in this series I will be reviewing different types of software that is available.
I personally use Microsoft's Money Software. Microsoft recently changed the name of their Microsoft Money software to Microsoft Money Plus.
I have used Text is Microsoft Money software and Link is http://astore.amazon.com/wwwjosephsang-20/detail/B000SKZHM8/002-8206364-8578457 Microsoft Money software since 2000.
The top reasons I use this software are:
* Ease of use. Above everything else, financial software needs to be straight-forward and easy to use. Microsoft Money is exactly that for me.
* Multiple Accounts. I can manage multiple bank accounts and investment accounts within the same program
* Reports. It has tons of built-in reports that allow me to see where my money is going!
* I always know exactly how much money is in all of my accounts! This alone is worth the entire cost. I know my balance to the exact penny, and I know if a transaction has cleared the bank or not.
* When I earn or spend money, I am able to categorize the transaction. For instance, when I pull out money for my Text is cash envelopes and Link is http://www.josephsangl.com/?p=217 cash envelopes, I am able to split the transaction into multiple categories. Let's say I pull out $600. I can split the cash withdrawal into the different categories I will use the money for - $300 for groceries, $100 for clothes, $100 for spending money, and $100 for restaurants.
In the next part of this series, I will share how I use Microsoft Money to better manage my money.

I ran across an interesting link the other day.

It is ALARMING to see how little Americans are saving!

Written by someone who left their name as "I'm not bitter or anything":
"Our economy, the largest in the world, is driven by consumer spending. I say that you and Dave Ramsey have crusaded us right into a recession with your message of paying off your debts instead of taking that vacation and buying a 60″ flat screen when you get home - all courtesy of the Visa card.
I hope you're happy with yourself and can sleep at night as my 401k has now become a 301k."
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I was reviewing my credit card offers the other day, and I just starting laughing out loud! It is a regular comedy act!
Here is what made me laugh:
* The Visa Signature card states "This card has everything you want, even your initial." HA HA HA HA HA!!! It goes on to say, "
it proudly displays your monogram every time you lay it down. Jennifer, this card is YOU!" HA HA HA!
* In the fine print of the above card, it says "We will allocate your payments to balances (including new transactions) with lower Annual Percentage Rates (APRs) (including zero percent) before balances with higher APRs." The REAL credit card personality shows up in super large 2-pt font!
* The Household Bank Platinum card says "Everything you like in a card. Including the design." I don't like anything in a credit card. They never helped me WIN with money.
When you look at your 200 - 250 credit card applications that you receive each year, what stands out to you?

Are you filing your taxes yourself this year?
I have always prepared my own taxes each year. I have used TurboTax every single year.
This software has been extremely helpful and straightforward to use.
I have considered using TurboTax's competitor, TaxCut (by H&R Block), but I always back out because TurboTax is designed to automatically transfer all of last year's information over to this year's return.
(I wonder if TaxCut can auto transfer a return put together using TurboTax?)
If you have a very simple tax return and plan on using 1040EZ, Text is TurboTax and Link is http://turbotax.intuit.com/ TurboTax provides their software and one federal tax filing for FREE!
Otherwise, there is a cost for the software, but it is reasonably priced for such a good software package.
I've never had a problem with a filing I have made with TurboTax.
I am sure it is the same for TaxCut software, but I have not used the product.
By the way, I usually look at the Staples or Office Depot sales ads this time of year before purchasing my TurboTax software. Usually, they will have a special - something like "Buy TurboTax and get a $10 gift card" deal. I like that! Last year, I ended up buying my software from Best Buy, and it came with a free wireless mouse. It is a great mouse! It was backordered and took over two months to get it, but they did ship it to me!

What an amazing journey it has been. Writing Text is I Was Broke. Now I'm Not and Link is http://www.josephsangl.com/IWBNIN%20Book.htm I Was Broke. Now I'm Not has been so worth the time and effort!
For those of you out there who have ever thought about writing a book, I thought I would share some things I have learned.
* You will not sit down and write the entire book at one time.
* Writing the book was the easy part. It was the 28 edits/revisions, cover art design/selection, ISBN/EAN bar code, Library of Congress Control Number registration, crappy image software, copyright
The list goes on for quite awhile!
* You have to be PASSIONATE about the book and have a STRONG VISION for it. If these two items do not exist, you will not finish the book. There are too many competing priorities that will take you away from it otherwise!
* Books don't have hotlinks. This is a bummer! I have been so accustomed to providing a quick-link to something I am writing about. A book doesn't have that. I really like the interactive component, and it has been an integral part of my communication style.
* Self-publishing is a great option. When I started putting pen to paper in January 2006 (yes, two years ago), I thought that I needed a publisher. I found out that there are several GREAT printing companies that produce high-quality books for a reasonable price. My experience was literally a "above and beyond expectations" experience! By the way, I sought advice from very wise people while making the decision of "should I self-publish or pursue a publisher". The wise people? Text is Tony Morgan and Link is http://www.tonymorganlive.com Tony Morgan, Text is Mark Batterson and Link is http://www.evotional.com/ Mark Batterson, Paul Marshall, Text is Perry Noble and Link is http://www.perrynoble.com Perry Noble, and Text is Dave Ramsey and Link is http://www.daveramsey.com Dave Ramsey. I loved Dave's statement
"Self publish
do print it and do sell it - It's worth it, man!"
* God is in control. And when He is, it don't get no righter!

I am FIRED UP to announce that my first book, I Was Broke. Now I'm Not., is officially released!
In this book, I share how my family stopped being broke and won with money. While telling my family's story, I teach the actual tools that we used and still use to this day!
More than anything else, this is a book of HOPE. I know that you CAN do this! I know that you CAN win with money! I know that you do not have to be a straight-A student to win with money (that's really good news for me!).
You CAN break free of financial bondage and win with money. This book was written to show you HOW to do so in a PRACTICAL way!
If you are looking for theory or philosophy, this is the wrong book. If you are looking for immediate help to take your finances to the next level, this is the right book!

Yesterday, I was recording the weekly "I Was Broke. I experienced a technical difficulty at about 2 minutes 36 seconds into the podcast. The technical difficulty? My stupid cat.
Having never recorded the podcast at my house before, I failed to realize that my cat would show up and request (demand) to be petted. She came trotting in - collar bell ringing and all.
The result? Well, I can't really describe it, but it was all caught on the podcast. I have cut that section out for your listening pleasure Text is HERE. and Link is http://www.josephsangl.com/wp-content/uploads/2008-01-10%20Cat%20Crash%20at%20236.mp3 HERE. A few seconds into it, you will start hearing the cat's jingling bell. You will hear it close in on the microphone and then
well, you will have to listen to it!
Why not Text is SUBSCRIBE and Link is http://feeds.feedburner.com/JSFinancialFreedom SUBSCRIBE to the podcast? A new episode is issued every Thursday morning and is less than 10 minutes in length! In each podcast, I share a success story and a question from the www.JoeSangl.com community. I promise you that you will be motivated and inspired by this podcast!

Ever paid money when you used 411 to find out a phone number? Never pay it again!
I have not paid a dime for a 411 service for at least a year because I use Google 411.
The toll-free number is 1-800-466-4411
Go ahead and save it into your cell phone contact list now! It has saved me money and frustration multiple times!
I bet the Saving Freak will be really proud of this money-saving idea!

Another great tool to share with readers!
Ever been in the middle of a store about to purchase something and wonder, "I wonder if I am getting this for the best price?"
Now you can KNOW!
Let me set up how this service can be used with a real-life story this last weekend!
One of Jenn's Christmas presents was a new piece of luggage. I wanted her to pick it out - so we went to the store and picked it out. It was a wonderful piece of luggage - expensive - but this brand has lasted for me. I really like this brand, but I wanted to make sure I was getting the absolute best deal possible on it.
How am I able to know? By dialing 1-888-363-7822! It is a toll-free number offered by Text is FRUCALL and Link is http://www.frucall.com/ FRUCALL.
After you dial the number, it asks you to type in the bar code number. When you type in the bar code number, it will tell you the LOWEST PRICE this item is currently offered for and WHERE you can purchase it for that price!
It comparison shops for you!
When I entered the bar code number, it told me the name of the product and the current lowest price for the luggage. It was $3 cheaper on Amazon. I went ahead and purchased the item in the store. It was worth it to me to pay $3 extra and have it now than wait a couple of days.
Go ahead - try it out! Pick up a book next to you and call the number. Find out the cheapest price it is currently available for!
Readers - Try this out and let me know how it helps you!

In order to achieve our target of 3 years and 10 months (and my own stretch goal of 2 years and 10 months), we really need to start making larger payments. Let's see what next month brings!
I'm predicting a larger payment!

Every single month, I update my net worth numbers. It helps me track my investments, plus it helps me understand first-hand what is going on with the market.
For those who are not complete nerds like me, you calculate your net worth by adding up all of your assets (everything that has value like houses, cars, investments) and subtracting all of your liabilities (debts like mortgages, credit cards, car loans, etc.)
Over the first part of this year, it was always a lot of fun updating the numbers, but lately
It has not been much fun!
In fact, over the past two months I have seen my net worth drop by 3.45%!!!
However, I am not stopping investing! In fact, I am investing even more!!! Why? Because I view this like a sale! I can buy shares of Text is my favorite mutual funds and Link is http://www.josephsangl.com/?p=384 my favorite mutual funds at a discount! They are on sale!
It is not fun watching them drop in value, but this is money that I won't need for at least thirty years!
The great thing is that there are two ways to increase your net worth - INCREASE your Assets OR DECREASE your Liabilities.
Jenn and I are investing every single month - That INCREASES our Assets!
We are also aggressively Text is paying off our mortgage and Link is http://www.josephsangl.com/?cat=16 paying off our mortgage! - That DECREASES our Liabilities!
We can't help but do well with money! I am glad this stuff is not too difficult!

Introduction
This couple is THROUGH with debt! It has now been four months since they announced that they were breaking up with debt.
Here is the update.
What went well this month
We had a great December!! We finished all of our Christmas shopping and paid for every dime of it in cash!! We had extra money come in during December and paid extra on the Discover card, which brought the balance down a lot. We finally got a handle on the cash envelopes and made them last during this month. We are very excited about how far we have come in only FOUR months. For anyone who is on the fence about trying Joe's program
GO FOR IT NOW!!!! We are so happy with our progress, but can't help but to think how far ahead we would be if we had only started sooner. But
we are very proud of our success and are looking forward to being debt free.
Challenges and struggles for this month
Believe it or not, this month was pretty easy. We planned for everything (trip to Florida, trip to Georgia, Christmas presents, Best Friend's birthday, etc.). Since we try to look ahead each month there aren't as many surprises. I can't think of anything that was a struggle or challenge for December. It is getting easier!!
Here is their updated Text is Debt Freedom Date calculation and Link is http://www.josephsangl.com//?page_id=151 Debt Freedom Date calculation
Month By Month Progress
Sangl says
Did you notice that Couple #2 paid off ANOTHER credit card?!!! This couple is experiencing a time of blessing, and they are utilizing it as the opportunity to become debt-free! Another $27 and this couple will have paid off over $10,000 in debt! That is INCREDIBLE!!! They have reduced their debt by 13.9%!!!
I am FIRED UP by the progress this couple is making! They have been at this for FOUR months, but did you notice what is happening to their Text is Debt Freedom Date Calculation and Link is http://www.josephsangl.com/?page_id=151 Debt Freedom Date Calculation? It has went down SIX months! They are two months ahead of schedule already! This is why I regularly say that people who commit to becoming debt-free usually achieve it in 2/3 of the time calculated by the Debt Freedom Date Calculation. Why? Because when people are truly committed to accomplishing debt freedom, they will put off some "wants" and redirect that money toward their debt!
Readers
Are you feeling the momentum that this couple has with them? It is January. Early January. Why not make this year THE YEAR that you take control of your money and start your own Debt Freedom March?

Introduction
Couple #1 is THROUGH with debt! They have been married for many years and have two children. They are now four months into their march. Here is this month's update.
What went well this month
We paid cash for Christmas, and we didn't spend as much this year. Our kids are older, and it is not so much about the gift as it is about showing your family how much they mean to you.
Challenges and struggles for this month
Only minimum payments were paid this month. That means wasted interest and delayed freedom but our day will come. 2008 will be a watershed year, or should I say a debt shedding year. I am jacked up about it. I plan on sleeping better because I don't have to worry who I am going to pay tomorrow.
Updated Debt Freedom Date
Month By Month Progress
Sangl says
This month Couple #1 has experienced something that every single person who attempts to pay off debt WILL EXPERIENCE - They encountered a Text is Budget-Busting Expense and Link is http://www.josephsangl.com/?p=425 Budget-Busting Expense. They chose (rightly) to AVOID MORE DEBT by paying the minimum payments. This allowed them to PAY CASH for Christmas!
Think about it this way. How demoralizing would it be for you to be attacking your debt and then have to turn back to debt because you do not have money for a budget-busting expense? It has derailed many attempts at achieving debt freedom. Don't let this happen to you! Choose to do what Couple #1 did - slow down enough on the debt freedom march to have the cash on hand for your budget-busting expenses!
Way to go Couple #1! I am FIRED UP by your progress! You guys are inspiring THOUSANDS to take control of their finances! I can't WAIT for your Debt Freedom Party!

In Text is this series and Link is http://iwasbroke.savingadvice.com/series-save-money-for-next-christmas/ this series, we are learning how to ensure we pay cash for next Christmas!
Text is Step 1 Determine how much money you want for Christmas next year and Link is http://iwasbroke.savingadvice.com/2008/01/02/save-money-for-next-christmas-part-1_33544/ Step 1 Determine how much money you want for Christmas nex...
The goal in this step is to use the Text is Mini-Budget Form (Excel) and Link is http://www.josephsangl.com/?page_id=151 Mini-Budget Form (Excel) to determine the amount of money that you want for next year's Christmas.
Text is Step 2 Save EVERY month for Christmas next year and Link is http://iwasbroke.savingadvice.com/2008/01/03/save-money-for-next-christmas-part-2_33585/ Step 2 Save EVERY month for Christmas next year
By saving for Christmas every single month of the year, you can really lighten the financial burden that is regularly felt in November and December's budget!
Text is Step 3 Make it AUTOMATIC! and Link is http://iwasbroke.savingadvice.com/2008/01/06/save-money-for-next-christmas-part-3_33768/ Step 3 Make it AUTOMATIC!
By making your savings automatic, you help ensure that you stick to you savings plan!
Step 4 When Christmas shows up, pull your savings out in cash
You have done great! You have planned your spending and actually saved up the money! Now, it is Christmas time. There is one more hurdle to jump - sticking to your spending plan! I highly recommend that you use the Text is cash envelope method and Link is http://www.josephsangl.com/?p=217 cash envelope method. Why? Because when you spend cash, it is IMPOSSIBLE for you to spend more than you planned! It is the ultimate accountability! When you run out of cash, you are done!
I have found that when I spend cash, I am much more frugal and I usually end up getting a lot better deal than if I would have paid with a credit card. Why? I really can't explain it. I think it has to do with the fact that I am less impulsive and that means I think longer before making the purchase.
Well, that is it! That is how I have managed to pay cash for Christmas every single year starting in 2003. Here's to you having an all-cash, debt-free Christmas next year!

By saving for Christmas every single month of the year, you can really lighten the financial burden that is regularly felt in November and December's budget!
Step 3 Make it AUTOMATIC!
Anyone who has ever participated in a Christmas Club savings account KNOWS how great it is to have the savings be AUTOMATIC! When you make anything automatic, it helps you stick to it. If you automatically go to gym every morning, you will stay in shape. If you automatically read your newspaper every morning, you will stay informed. If you automatically SAVE, you will pay cash for Christmas!
One reason I regularly promote Text is ING Direct's on-line savings accounts and Link is http://www.jdoqocy.com/7e102js0ys-FIMJIPNMFHGKIGLOL ING Direct's on-line savings accounts is because of their great interest rates with no minimum balance. Another reason is these accounts have a feature that allows you to AUTOMATICALLY draft your bank account at a set frequency. You can set it to draft your account monthly, weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or any other frequency you choose. You have determined the amount you need to save for next year's Christmas. Now why not Text is set up a bank account and Link is http://www.jdoqocy.com/7e102js0ys-FIMJIPNMFHGKIGLOL set up a bank account to keep you on course? If your bank pays competitive interest, you should contact them to have an automatic draft set up.

Text is Step 1 Determine how much money you want for Christmas next year and Link is http://iwasbroke.savingadvice.com/2008/01/02/save-money-for-next-christmas-part-1_33544/ Step 1 Determine how much money you want for Christmas nex...

Step 2 Save EVERY month for Christmas next year
You know the amount that you need for next Christmas! Congratulations! You have taken a HUGE first step toward being able to have a debt-free Christmas next year! Now, you need to save that amount! Jenn and I save 1/12th of our Christmas every single month. If our Christmas savings needs to be $1,000, we would save $83.33 every single month.
By saving every month, we really reduce the impact that Christmas has on our November and December budgets. In fact, it allows us to actually ENJOY spending money for Christmas because we are not worried about how we are going to pay off our credit cards!
Here is a chart to help you determine the amount to save each month.

Welcome to the latest series - "Save Money For Next Christmas"
Christmas is now over, and you have just ran up a pile of debt on your credit cards again. It was fun to give great gifts, but it was not fun putting the purchases on the credit card.
If this is you, welcome to normal America. An America where we charge Christmas on credit cards, and attempt to use our tax refunds to help pay it back.
I remember when this was me. Each Christmas from 1992 to 2002 was a financially stressful time! I ran up a balance on the credit card and commit to use my tax refund to pay it back. The commitment was not very strong, however, because I always ended up carrying large balances on my credit card and paying high interest.
Since Christmas 2003, Jenn and I have paid CASH for all of our Christmas presents. Zero debt. No credit cards. No financial anxiety.
In this series, I will show you HOW we did it!
Step 1 Determine how much money you want for Christmas next year
Jenn and I always showed up a Christmas time without a plan. As a result, we overspent. Credit cards were always happy to catch our slack planning.
There is a great way to determine how much money you want for Christmas. You can pull up a Text is Mini-Budget Form (Excel) and Link is http://www.josephsangl.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-downloadMonitor/download.php?id=3 Mini-Budget Form (Excel) and list each person for whom you will purchase a present.
You might want to include line items like Christmas Cards, Postage, Christmas Tree, and "Unexpected Christmas Gift Needs".
The goal with this step is to obtain the amount you want for next Christmas. Is it $200? $500? $1,500? $5,000?

I provide one-on-one financial counseling to over 450 people per year. This helps me accomplish my passion which is "to help others accomplish far more than they ever thought possible with their personal finances".
Anyway, I met with a couple for the first time 42 days ago - just six weeks ago.
I met with them again for a follow-up meeting and here are some of their accomplishments - IN JUST SIX WEEKS!
* As you can see from the above picture, they have chopped up their credit cards!
* THEY have not used credit for the last six weeks!
* HE is taking his lunch to work every single day!
* THEY shut off their cell phones!
* THEY paid CASH for Christmas!!!
* THEY have put money into their Text is ING SAVINGS ACCOUNT and Link is http://www.jdoqocy.com/7e102js0ys-FIMJIPNMFHGKIGLOL ING SAVINGS ACCOUNT!
* THEY bought less!
* THEY put their house up for sale to get rid of their huge monthly payment!
* THEY have a written plan that is EZ to follow!
* THEY are going to win big time!
In just SIX WEEKS, they were able to accomplish all of this!!!
I am FIRED UP!!! That is what this whole crusade is about! Freeing up people to be able to go do EXACTLY what they have been put on this earth to do.
I LOVE IT!

Welcome to the latest series - Setting 2008 Financial Goals!
I love goal planning. Why? It helps me ensure that my life is not wasted in the pursuit of the boring and mundane.
Here are the steps already shared.
Step 1: WRITE DOWN YOUR GOALS
Ink and lead last WAY LONGER than your memory will!
Step 2: PUT A COMPLETION DATE NEXT TO EACH GOAL
If it weren't for deadlines and last minutes, half of the world's work would never get done!
Step 3: ESTABLISH ACCOUNTABILITY
There is nothing like having someone ask, "How are you doing on your goals?" to motivate one to achieve their goals!
Step 4: TAKE ACTION!!!
I have a quote that I say regularly. It came to me after having been caught in one too many horrible, pointless, useless meetings!
"Thoughts and talk without action are mere babble!"
Enough of the planning. Enough of the talking. It is time to make it happen! Nothing moves until it is shoved. Attack the goal.
It is TIME! What can you do right now to achieve one of the goals? Perhaps you can start off 2008 by having one (or more) of your goals completed BEFORE 2008 even starts!
Call and set up the appointment with an investment broker. Go ahead and get the new insurance quotes. Chop up the credit cards. Close the credit card accounts. Sell the truck. Go to the Text is TOOLS and Link is http://www.josephsangl.com/?page_id=151 TOOLS page and put together your first-ever INCOME - OUTGO = EXACTLY ZERO budget!
I will close the series with a great quote from Will Rogers
"Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there."
- Will Rogers
